Overview

This project involved the refurbishment of Aranda and O’Connor sports pavilions. Other scope included new Professional level sport lights at Gordon rugby fields and both Waramanga sports fields, repurposed shipping containers were designed and installed to provided additional changerooms/bathrooms at Jamison oval and O’Connor playing fields including off-grid containers), and Griffith neighborhood oval water meter pit upgrade.

Notable outcomes include the sustainable aspects built-in into the works including use of repurposed shipping containers for changeroom and bathroom facilities (including off-grid transportable containers), remote door access and lighting control, LED lighting, and use of carbon neutral concrete for light pole foundations to lower carbon footprint. ABACM’s effective cost management may also allow for stage #2 first storey container works at Jamison Oval.
